Biography

I am a qualified Psychotherapist accredited by the British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapists (BABCP). I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

 

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, trauma, self-criticism, low self-worth, and perfectionism. I provide tools to help you understand your difficulties, make meaningful changes to enable you to feel happier in yourself and more able to achieve your goals.

 

I have over 10 years’ experience working within a pain management service, supporting people with the emotional and psychological impact of long-term physical health conditions. I also work alongside a cardiologist as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping individuals reduce their risk of heart disease or make changes both psychologically and behaviourally following a cardiac event.

 

Living with a physical health condition can be challenging in many ways beyond the physical symptoms. People often describe feeling stuck in an ongoing battle with themselves, experiencing a loss of identity, or grieving the life they once had. It’s also common to feel anxious about the future or lose confidence in what your body can do.

 

Whatever the challenges you are seeking support for, therapy can offer a space to make sense of these experiences. I aim to support you in stepping out of this internal struggle, rebuilding confidence, increasing self-compassion, and reconnecting with what matters to you, so life can feel more meaningful and enjoyable again.
