Hi, I'm Katherine. I work as a clinical psychologist offering online psychological therapy sessions.

I previously worked in primary and secondary care NHS mental health services, supporting adults with longstanding mental health difficulties.

I have worked with people who:

- Would like to better understand themselves, their emotions and relationships

- Feel distressed and stuck

- Identify as neurodivergent and are looking for ways care for themselves and navigate challenges in life

- Need a safe space to make sense of (past) significant life events

- Are looking for different ways to respond to and manage their physical and emotional health

I am especially interested in how people construct their identity and how life experiences play a role in this process.

My approach to therapy is collaborative. We start by meeting you where you are at, develop a shared understanding of the situation, and what you might like to use therapy for. We will also discuss what you need to make therapy more accessible for you.

I use several psychological models in my practice. This includes narrative therapy, somatic trauma therapy, third wave CBT approaches (CFT, ACT), and ideas from attachment theory. Using different models allows me to personalise therapy to fit your needs.

Alongside my private practice, I also work in the charity sector, supporting people who have experienced multiple disadvantages in life, and offering training and reflective practice to staff teams. I strongly believe addressing mental health starts with fostering supportive and inclusive communities where people can start to feel seen and heard, and most importantly, start to feel safe.
