Email to members 16/02/25

I hope you’re doing well! I wanted to take a moment to thank and welcome new members and to share a few key features that existing members may not have explored yet.

Mission:

At PsyConnect, our core mission is to simplify the process of finding the right therapist for clients,  while also empowering therapists to work with clients that align with their expertise. We also strive to foster a supportive network based on reciprocity, where therapists can connect, share, and support one another.

Email template to clients describing our referral pool as a shared waiting list.

Subject: Therapy Referral Through PsyConnect

Dear [Client’s Name],

Thanks for contacting me. Unfortunately, I don’t have availability at the moment to take on new clients. However, you might be interested in connecting with another therapist in my network through PsyConnect - a new platform created to help people seeking therapy find well-matched professionals.

Rather than waiting for my availability, PsyConnect acts as a "shared waiting list", where therapists who match your needs can reach out if they have availability.

  1. Browse therapists by selecting any relevant filters (e.g., BUPA, Social Anxiety, Young Person, availability, therapy type).

  2. Submit a general enquiry, and suitable therapists will reach out when they are available.

if no other therapist is able to take on the client soon enough and you can later accommodate them yourself and you take them from the pool, you will not be expected to pay the referral fee (as you have referred the client yourself!).

How to Refer Clients & Receive the Referral Fee

To ensure you receive the referral reward, simply share your unique referral link, which you can find in your dashboard. If a client signs up through your link and starts therapy with another therapist, you’ll receive 50% of the commission fee.

(If you prefer, you can also drop us a quick message when you refer someone—just in case they don’t use the link directly or later return by Googling us.)

Here’s a sample email template you can use or adapt when referring clients:

Dear [Client's Name],

Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, I don’t have availability at the moment to take on new clients. However, you may be interested in connecting with another therapist in my network through PsyConnect.

PsyConnect is a platform designed to help people find well-matched therapists.

Managing Your Availability

Please try and make sure that your availability in the system is up-to-date so that clients can search for therapists using the availability filter.

How to Update your availability:

The default for each day is “No Availability” so you will need to untick that box and add your availability if you have any.

Default view:

View after “No availability” box is unticked - a default time of 10.00 until 13.00 is created which you then edit. You can add new time slots by selecting “Add New Slot”.

If a slot becomes unavailable you simply click delete to remove it.

How to Hide your Profile from the client search:

If you’re fully booked, you can also hide your profile from search results by clicking the checkbox next to "Hide My Profile from All Searches" at the end of the Profile section of your Dashboard.

This is designed to use at times when you know you are going to be unavailable, and/or not able to respond to Client requests.

*Remember, if you have no availability, please refer any client enquiries to the PsyConnect network * More info here
