Hi, I’m Dr Jessica Staniford. I am a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and EMDR therapist, with over 10 years’ experience in psychology services, supporting people experiencing distress.

I am skilled and passionate about helping people when they are struggling with painful emotions (such as anxiety, low mood, anger, shame) as well as trauma and relational difficulties. I really appreciate that it can feel daunting to reach out for help and will work hard to put you at ease.

I am dedicated to offering therapy that is highly respectful, compassionate, non-judgemental, and tailored to meet your individual needs. I therefore adapt my approach to meet you where you are at, whether this is the first time you have reached out for support, or you have had therapy before. I will respond to your feedback about the kind of approach you prefer – whether that is open and exploratory or more structured and focused.
