Biography

Co founder of F&B Digital Therapy & specialist neurodivergent and low self-esteem therapist. Based in Teesside but seeing clients globally.

I'm late diagnosed AuDHD, so I truly get what it's like to feel weird & not fit in. If you hide behind a mask to feel normal, constantly feeling misunderstood & not knowing who you really are, it doesn't have to stay this way.

Always doubting yourself can lead to anxiety, overthinking, rejection sensitivity, low motivation, overwhelm, eating issues & OCD. But there's another story, one where you learn how to trust yourself, live authentically, become self-confident and finally feel good enough.

In video, telephone or text CBT sessions, you'll learn flexible techniques & tools adapted to you. We'll work as a team to navigate your low self-confidence & figure out where it came from. Combining my professional knowledge with your knowledge of yourself will lead to the confidence to accept your neurodivergence & embrace you for you.

What happens in sessions?

In working with me, you’ll be able to start understanding what keeps your problem going, as well as delving deeper into where it started in the first place. I find anyone who loves analysing, understanding and piecing things together (like me) this approach is perfect for! You’ll then learn strategies to break any negative cycles you may be in and overcome the things that may be holding you back from feeling self-confident.

I'm trained in CBT but I use a flexible approach to it, integrating useful ideas from different approaches which may help rather than being strict. Forgot to do a homework task? I won’t shame you, instead we’ll work together to find a way to make it work for your wonderfully unique brain instead! The structure, pace & techniques will be adapted to you to help you understand whats caused you feel this way and what keeps you stuck. We'll work together to make some positive changes and challenge negative cycles through exploration, challenging, planning and doing tasks together. I can also provide practical tips & strategies to manage executive dysfunction.

I know how lacking energy, confidence & the ability to safely be yourself (even in therapy!) can feel. Thats why I'm passionate about a flexible approach and encorporating the things you love into our work together too. I want to understand you as an individual, and to work as a team - not assuming I know more about you than you do. I finding combining my knowledge of CBT and mental health, with a client's knowledge of themselves, creates the best outcomes.

Just a lil bit about me...

I have over 8 years experience in NHS mental health services and I'm accredited by the BABCP. I have a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Clinical Psychology and postgraduate qualifications in both low & high intensity CBT. Being neurodivergent, be assured mental health/psychology are a big fixation of mine!

Some other fun lil facts:

  • I see playing video games as self care.
  • I also have a digital art business where I create things for people who are passionate about what they love.
  • I have a dog called Rocket and a cat called Fuji. If I could I would have a lot more pets, I love all types of animals and even have some crow friends I feed in my garden!
  • music means a lot to me, but I have a very eclectic music taste (my favourite artists are Taylor Swift & Green Day!

I'd love to support you in your journey building a deeper, more authentic relationship with your neurodivergent self, body & mind. Let's chat - I offer free 15 min calls to find out more. Email or visit our website to book.
