Biography

Chartered Psychologist | Psychotherapist | Online Mental Health Practitioner

About Me

Since 2004, I have dedicated my practice to supporting individuals through life’s challenges and transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. Whether you’re facing trauma, anxiety, depression, or significant life changes, our work together will focus on helping you gain clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of well-being.

In our sessions, you will find a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences openly and without judgment. My goal is to help you uncover your strengths and develop practical strategies for meaningful, lasting change.

How I Work

I use an integrative approach that draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, tailored to meet your unique needs. These include:

  • Gestalt Psychotherapy – fostering awareness and presence in the here and now.
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based CBT – understanding the link between thoughts, emotions, and behaviour.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – helping you move toward acceptance and valued living, even when facing difficult circumstances.
  • Narrative Therapy – reframing life stories and separating individuals from their problems, often using culturally sensitive techniques.
  • Family Therapy – supporting families through challenges that affect communication, health, or relationships.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) – a short-term, goal-oriented approach that encourages practical change.
  • Rehabilitation Programmes – long-term interventions combining therapeutic principles and recovery frameworks.

Experience

Over the past two decades, I have provided psychological support across a wide range of areas, including:

  • Trauma, anxiety, and depression
  • Stress management and resilience building
  • Relationship, couples, and family counselling
  • Parenting guidance and support
  • Grief, loss, and adjustment
  • Abuse and violence recovery (including sexual abuse)
  • Physical ill-health and chronic conditions
  • Gender, sexuality, and identity counselling
  • Career, vocational, and life transition counselling
  • Spiritual and existential concerns

Professional Background

I am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Fellow of the National Council of Integrated Psychotherapists (UK). Based in the United Kingdom, I also practise internationally as an Online Mental Health Practitioner, having pioneered online therapy for adults in New Zealand in 2017 to meet the growing demand for safe and accessible mental health support.
