Biography
About Me
I am a highly experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with 15 years of clinical experience helping individuals overcome common mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, and stress-related difficulties. Having worked extensively in the NHS within the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme, I bring a deep understanding of evidence-based treatments and a compassionate, practical approach to therapy.
How I Work
My approach is rooted in evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, tailored to your unique needs. I believe in creating a collaborative and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, gaining the tools to manage life’s challenges more effectively.
• Personalised Therapy – Every session is structured around your goals, ensuring therapy is relevant and meaningful to you.
• Practical Strategies – I focus on equipping you with skills to manage distress, break unhelpful patterns, and improve resilience.
• Compassionate & Non-Judgmental – Therapy should be a safe space, where you feel heard and understood.
• Short- & Long-Term Benefits – CBT is designed to help you overcome current difficulties while giving you the tools to maintain progress in the future.
What I Can Help With
I specialise in treating a range of mental health concerns, including:
• Depression & Low Mood – Helping you regain motivation, challenge negative thoughts, and build a more fulfilling life.
• Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) – Reducing excessive worry and teaching techniques to manage uncertainty.
• Panic Disorder – Addressing panic attacks and helping you feel more in control of your body and mind.
• Social Anxiety – Overcoming fears of judgment and improving confidence in social situations.
• Health Anxiety – Managing persistent worries about illness and physical symptoms.
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) – Reducing distressing intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviours.
• Phobias – Gradual, structured exposure therapy to overcome specific fears.
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) – Supporting you in processing trauma and reducing distressing symptoms.
• Work-Related Stress & Burnout – Helping you develop strategies to manage workplace pressures and restore balance.
• Low Self-Esteem – Building self-confidence and fostering a more positive self-image.
Remote Therapy – Accessible & Confidential
I offer one-to-one CBT sessions remotely, providing flexibility and convenience without compromising quality of care. Sessions are delivered via secure video calls, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort of your own space.
• Confidential & GDPR-Compliant – All records and communications are handled securely.
• Flexible Scheduling – Evening and weekend appointments available to fit around your commitments.
• Convenient & Comfortable – No travel required – access professional therapy wherever you feel most at ease.
