Biography
I qualified as a clinical psychologist in 2007. For many years, I worked in NHS secondary care mental health and specialist trauma services, as well as in academic and research posts. I have post-qualification training in several psychological models, which I integrate flexibly to suit the needs of each individual. The approaches I draw on most often are cognitive behavioural theraoy, compassion-focused therapy, and schema therapy. I am also an accredited video interaction guidance practitioner.
I have always been particularly passionate about perinatal and parent-infant mental health, and I founded my own practice in 2016 to offer individualised, evidence-based care to people experiencing psychological difficulties in the context of the journey to parenthood, including infertility, miscarriage, baby loss, antenatal anxiety and depression, OCD, birth trauma, relationship difficulties. I enjoy working with both birthing and non-birthing parents, and welcome all enquiries.
