Feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, depression, or unhelpful behaviour patterns? Struggling with self-critical thoughts, negative emotions, trauma, or relationship difficulties? With over 20 years of experience and a former Consultant Clinical Psychologist, I specialise in combining Clinical and Positive Psychology to treat a range of mental health challenges. It's normal to experience distress at times. Recovery is about learning to manage these experiences so they have less impact on you. Using a variety of evidence-based approaches (ACT, CBT, DBT), we'll collaboratively explore your experiences and find the best ways to help you feel better, manage any struggles you face, and thrive in the face of adversity.
The approach is straightforward. First, we identify actions and habits that support or hinder your well-being. Then, we work together to enhance helpful behaviours and reduce unhelpful ones. This involves reflecting on past events and developing skills to better manage self-critical thoughts, distressing emotions and change unhelpful patterns of behaviour.
